Ballarat Wine Show AwardsWe had a very successful showing at the 2002 Ballarat Wine show. Release of New WinesOur range of wines continues to expand. Joining the 2000 Dunn's Paddock Shiraz and Daisy Creek Cabernet Shiraz and Chardonnay comes our Amherst 2001 Chardonnay. This is our best white yet, and initial tastings suggest that this is one not to be missed. We will shortly be releasing our 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon, which will be the first 100% Cabernet we have done. Stay tuned to these pages to find out when this is ready. 2001 Vintage2001 looks like it will be a great vintage. A very hot summer interspersed with sufficient rainy periods has meant that the grapes ripened nicely. Harvest was a little earlier this year with picking taking place at the end of March. Special thanks to Sid, Decima and all others who helped with the picking. The latest news is that the baume was very good, and the 2001 vintage could be our best year yet. For the first time, we had a late picking which will become a reserve edition for next year. Stay tuned to this website for more news on how the wine turns out once it goes into the bottle. Release of 2000 VintageThe 2000 Vintage should be released at the end of August. Expect a Chardonnay, a Shiraz and a Shiraz Cabernet blend.
